American Association of University Women’s Fellowships

Open to: women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents, holding at least bachelor’s degree
Fellowship: $18,000 up to $30,000.
 


Description


The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is the nation’s leading voice promoting equity and education for women and girls. Since the founding in 1881, AAUW members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental issues of the day — educational, social, economic, and political.
The International Fellowship program has been in existence since 1917. The program provides support for one year of graduate or postgraduate study in the United States to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. An International Fellow is expected to pursue her project full time during the fellowship year (July 1, 2015–June 30, 2016).

Eligibility

International Fellowships are awarded for full-time study or research in the United States to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicants must have earned the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree by September 30, 2014, and must have applied to their proposed institutions of study by the time of the application. Up to five fellowships are renewable for a second year.

Fellowship

The amount of the fellowship differs depending on what it is aimed for:
Master’s/First Professional Degree Fellowship: $18,000
Doctoral Fellowship: $20,000
Postdoctoral Fellowship: $30,000

  5. Financial Information
  6. Personal Statement
  7. Filing Fee – $30 (nonrefunable)
  8. Transcript(s)
  9. Proof of bachelor’s/doctorate degree
  10. Official report of TOEFL test scores
  11. Letter of Admission
You have to submit the online application form by 5:00 p.m., central time USA, 1 December 2014. Recommendations must be received by 8 December 2014.
